Spontaneous and last minute thought led me and Moritz Enderle to the Swiss alps in summer 2020. after a 4h drive through the most beautiful corners of Switzerland we arrived at the Berninapass at about 2300 meters above sea level. We had planned a 30 minute hike to our spot and then arrived with breaks after more than 1 hour... The landscape and the atmosphere during the day and evening was spectacular and I knew that the night must be a success! We have pitched our tent and waited for the night. The wait paid off and we were rewarded with probably the best sky I had ever seen in the Alps. We were up all night and have made various shots as well as the picture with our tent, which will remind me to this day of this great night!

Jakob Sahner is a 21 year old German astrophotographer who came into contact with the fascination of space early in his childhood. Very early he began to make projects with image and video editing programs and after graduating from high school he completed an apprenticeship as a photo and media technical assistant. The subject has grabbed him like an addiction although he had no knowledge about this hobby. He just wanted to do it and try it out! In the now more than 4 years he has become a worldwide known astrophotographer and has developed his skills from normal landscape astrophotography to deepsky photography.
