A haunting composite view of two interacting spiral galaxies whose bright cores and tangled arms create one of the most unforgettable Webb-era cosmic portraits.
This proposal is based on a Webb + Hubble composite of IC 2163 and NGC 2207. It should be described clearly as a combined-observatory image rather than a solo-Webb observation.
Blood-Soaked Eyes is one of the most commercially distinctive composite images released during the Webb era. The eye-like cores, layered colour palette, and overlapping arms give it immediate visual memorability without sacrificing scientific depth.
NASA's official release explains that the smaller galaxy, IC 2163, passed behind the larger spiral NGC 2207 after the two grazed one another millions of years ago. The image combines Webb's mid-infrared data with Hubble's ultraviolet and visible-light observations, producing the surreal pinks, blues, and white cores that make the pair feel almost mask-like.
Printed with exceptional care, this artwork is available as a smooth satin Poster on 240 gsm paper, an archival matte Fine Art print on 290 gsm paper with white borders and a dry stamp, or a 360 gsm cotton-polyester Canvas stretched on a wooden frame and ready to hang.
If you are looking for a larger canvas or a custom size, we can prepare selected prints as a custom order on request.
